About You

You are an experienced Nursery Chef/Cook who is used to preparing nutritionally balanced meals and managing a kitchen with a focus on safety and hygiene.  

What you'll be doing

You'll be responsible for providing healthy meals for children, including those with specific dietary needs, along with maintaining stock levels and of course, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

• Provide balanced and nutritional meals for all children attending the nursery
• Catering for children with specific dietary needs
• Ensuring Food and Hygiene compliance and compliance with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health-Food Safety, Health and Safety and within the guidelines of Ofsted
• Ensuring all children are kept safe and have rich stimulating experiences
• Maintaining stock levels and ensuring stock rotation
• Ensuring adherence to COSHH and follow relevant guidelines

What you'll need

• Level 2 qualification in Food and Hygiene
• Experience in a similar role
• Understanding of Health and Safety regulations and COSHH
