Job Description
Position: Maintenance Specialist
Location of work: Storal Central Support office, 1 Nottingham Road, Long Eaton, Nottingham NG10 1HQ
Working hours: your working week will be a mix of time in the office, visiting nursery sites, and some remote working too.
Salary: Starting from £27,000 Salary to be discussed depending on experience and Qaulification

Job Purpose:
Coordinate and deliver the maintenance and facilities operations for our network of
childcare nurseries across England to ensure all sites are safe, compliant, and well maintained to provide an optimal environment for children and staff.
Main Responsibilities
Facility Management
- Deliver the comprehensive preventative maintenance program for all nursery sites
- Coordinate routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance across multiple locations
- Support activity that ensures all facilities meet health, safety, and regulatory
standards for nursery environments
Team Leadership
- Direct and coordinate field-based regional maintenance staff and caretakers
- Coordinate with nursery managers to address maintenance needs promptly
- Develop and maintain relationships with approved contractors and service
providers
Budget and Resource Management
- Deliver works in line with the annual maintenance budget for all sites
- Observe spending patterns and implement cost-saving measures where
appropriate
- Coordinate the scheduling, procurement, and delivery of key resources for all sites
relating to compliance works.
Health and Safety
- Ensure all sites comply with relevant health and safety regulations
- Develop and maintain a centralised system for tracking maintenance requests and
completions
- Collaborate with regional operations managers to minimise disruptions to daily
operations
Knowledge and Skills:
Essential Desirable
- Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities management,
preferably in a multi-site environment
- Strong knowledge of building systems, health and safety
regulations, and childcare facility requirements
- Excellent project management and organizational skills x
- Proficiency in facilities management software and Microsoft
Office suite
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently to sites
across England
- Strong leadership and team management abilities x
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills x
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
simultaneously
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal x
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety x
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and
emergencies

6. Certificate of Good Conduct if you have lived or worked abroad for 6 months or more
